      Pros

*Patient Population *Dainty Facilities *Unique Medical Cases

      Cons

*Bullying is alive and well. Nurses will eat new nurses without hesitation. *Guilty of anything others charge y'all of. God forbid y'all are not a staff favorite because you will never be given a chance to explicate or defend yourself. This is specially truthful for BIPOC. You could be a model minority and 1 person could ruin your reputation without solid evidence. I have seen this happen. *Awful new grand resources. *Gossip is ubiquitous *The staff lacks diversity. The majority of workers are white women who lack cultural sensitivity or respect for others. And so many people say off the cuff remarks well-nigh BIPOC, it would exist hard to melody the microagressions out. Don't get me started on remarks made most trans or LGBTQA children. I have over heard nurses enquire, "are they normal down there?" *Sorority environment all around. *Incompetent direction *Covid revealed how lilliputian they value their staff. They are forcing staff (presently) to do day or night shift regardless or preferences. They are so brusk staffed. You lot will go fired if you lot mutter. *Depression pay *Nurses are clique *Practise not support nurses with disability. I take PTSD and was never heard. *Nurses will back their friend fifty-fifty if they are doing illegal or questionable things.

      Cons

-Over the last 5-7 years, it seems every bit though leadership is more than worried nearly the business organisation ($$$) and is losing touch with its employees. This was highlighted past the reaction to COVID-19. Yes in that location are metrics to meet; yes, a business is what keeps the lights on; nonetheless, there has been a growing disconnect between upper leadership and staff for some fourth dimension at present -Employee engagement needs to be more than giving some snacks; your employees want to make sure their leaders truly are listening and valuing their opinions through actionable items -Lack of clear departmental vision/strategies- Without defined section strategies that tie dorsum to the main mission and vision, it tin get hard to continue going into piece of work when yous don't know what your work is working towards. -Not caught up with the times. From blowsy technologies to policies, it would behoove CHOA to make the investment and update their operations. -Lack of growth opportunities -Diversity & Inclusion -Disparity in benefits between managers and above vs. staff; doesn't experience right when front line staff members don't receive some of the
